29:34. പുരോഹിതന്മാർ ചുരുക്കമായിരുന്നതിനാൽ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളെല്ലം തോലുരിപ്പാൻ അവർക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ ലേവ്യർ ആ വേല തീരുവോളവും പുരോഹിതന്മാരൊക്കെയും തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുവോളവും അവരെ സഹായിച്ചു; തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നതിൽ ലേവ്യർ പുരോഹിതന്മാരെക്കാൾ അധികം ഉത്സാഹമുള്ളവരായിരുന്നു.

29:34. But there were not enough priests to skin all the animals, so their brothers, the Levites, helped them until the work was finished and the priests could consecrate themselves. (The Levites had been more conscientious about consecrating themselves than the priests.)

29:34. But there were too few priests to prepare all the burnt offerings. So their relatives the Levites helped them until the work was finished and more priests had been purified, for the Levites had been more conscientious about purifying themselves than the priests had been.

29:34. But the priests were too few, so that they could not flay all the burnt-offerings: wherefore their brethren the Levites did help them, till the work was ended, and until the priests had sanctified themselves; for the Levites were more upright in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.
